School career resources library
A shared collection for school career counsellors, school leaders, teachers and parents. The materials are made to be used and adapted, not just stored. Documents are available on request.
Handbook
Career Counsellor Handbooks
The School Career Counsellor Handbook gives a practical, structured framework for career guidance in Grades 5 to 12/13. It has versions for Grades 5 to 8 counsellors and Grades 9 to 12/13 counsellors. It covers:
- Responsibilities
- Annual and monthly activities
- Student counselling procedures
- Assessment practices
- Parent engagement
- Career and university guidance
- Reporting standards and measurable KPIs
It supports a path from self-discovery to informed decisions and a smooth move beyond school. English and Turkish editions exist. A K12 curriculum is also part of the library.
Forms
Forms and surveys
Forms and surveys for students, parents, teachers and counsellors. They help to:
- Understand strengths, interests and aspirations
- Match students with careers, universities and opportunities
- Give targeted rather than generic advice
- Track progress and improve support
- Communicate better with students, parents and schools
The library also lists enquiry forms, session forms and career tests.
Presentations
PowerPoint pool
Presentations for students, parents, teachers and counsellors. They support career awareness, academic planning, university readiness, personal development and future skills. Titles include career education and guidance in schools, and the school career department.
Other topics in the library: the career unit and its policies, the counsellor job description, benefits of a counselling programme, the career room, notices to parents, a career road map for classes 8 to 12/13, university admission requirements and a college awareness example.
Marketing
Marketing materials
A guide for counsellors on marketing school career services. Good guidance only helps if students, parents and teachers know it exists. It covers:
- Annual marketing plans with monthly themes and clear timelines
- Notices to parents in clear, simple language
- School website content: system overview, grade pathway, services, events and booking details
- Social media: weekly posts and monthly short videos, informing rather than advertising and protecting student privacy
- Email: short, structured messages with one clear action
Training materials, a marketing ideas document and calendars are available on request.
School systems
School systems guidelines
University planning changes with the curriculum. A counsellor must understand Cambridge, IB, AP, national systems and mixed pathways, as each needs different subject, exam and university planning. Guidelines exist for the IB (MYP to DP) and for Cambridge.
Designs and videos
Designs and videos
A designs pool and a videos area are part of the library. They are still being built. Ask us what is available now.
